Prerequisite Waivers & Course Overfills

 

Requests for Prerequisite Waivers

Department Students:  Please see the academic advisors listed in the Math & Stats Students section.

All Other Students:      Please see the academic advisors listed in the Non-Math & Stats Students section.

 

Requests for Course Overfills

When a student is unable to register for a class because it is filled to capacity, a request may be made in the Department to try to get registered by what is called as a course overfill. Please read below for more detailed information about how to request one.  All requests are on a first-come first-serve basis; no apppointment is required.

 

Students are encouraged to keep trying to register as class

sizes are sometimes increased and new sections are sometimes added.

SECTION CHANGE REQUESTS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED

 

Course Overfills for MATH 200 to 209 Courses

Program Students

Must meet with the Undergraduate Program Assistant (LB 901-2) during the last week of registration at the beginning of the Summer, Fall, or Winter terms. 

Summer 2013 - Term II (Courses that start on June 27 until August 14)

Time: Between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in LB 901-2.

Days: Tuesday, July 2; Wednesday, July 3; Thursday, July 4 (last day to ADD classes).

Independent students

Must meet with the Undergraduate Program Assistant (LB 901-2) during the last two days of registration at the beginning of the Summer, Fall, or Winter terms. 

Summer 2013 - Term II (Courses that start on June 27 until August 14)

Time: Between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in LB 901-2.

Days: Wednesday, July 3; Thursday, July 4 (last day to ADD classes).

Important Information to know prior to making a request:

- Students must obtain all prerequisite waivers beforehand.

- Overfill spaces (if available) will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

- Section change requests cannot be considered.

- Students may attend the section of their choice until the last day of registration.

- Overfill requests cannot be done by telephone or email.

Please note that all requests cannot be granted.

Course Overfills for all Other Courses Offered by the Department

(not for MATH 200 to MATH 209)

Students must meet with the Undergraduate Program Director, Dr. G. Dafni during the last week of registration at the beginning of the Summer, Fall, or Winter terms.
